In this lonely corner of the world I was, again, alone in the dark. I had arrived at Kelvedon a little after 11pm. It was bone chilling with the wind chill well (well) below zero. All around me was light from the waning crescent moon and a quick check of my galaxies map showed that once this moon set, I would be presented with a glorious milky way. I had the gear to keep me warm and nowhere better to be so there was really only one option. After setting up my tent close by I stumbled around the water’s edge trying to predict a perfect composition for a milky way that wasn’t yet visible. I chose my location, shot my foreground and waited. Cold. Alone and in the dark. 🌑✨ . . . . pix

Those of us fortunate enough to be blessed with some creative fibres are damn lucky but It’s a commonly held theorem that as children we are all creative geniuses who edge closer to black and white potatoes with age 🥔. Where creative thinking within adults is a cognitive task - a child's approach is fun. Children don't give a toss about being creative, they just are. Why? Maybe because they aren’t worried about looking silly or care what others think. They don’t censer their thoughts, they’re who they are and the result is pure awesome creativity. In the words of Pablo Picasso; “Every child is an artist, the problem is staying an artist when you grow up”. I’m by no means calling myself an artist and i do admit that sometimes I try to be normal, but it gets boring. If the world without creativity is just “eh” than I want go back to photographing my childhood and try to make the world a happier place, one sunrise at a time 🌎☀️💫 • 📍Torres Del Paine. 🇨🇱 . . . . focus pix

There is something I really love about the outback. I’m not 100% sure what it is or why I love it so much – I grew up on the beach, I live and work in the country’s largest city and I take holidays to the snow. Regardless of this, each time I open the 4WD door and first step onto the barren, dry, red soil, I feel at ease. There is something safe, something relaxing, and something familiar about Australia’s outback. The reality is that THIS is Australia, these far reaching horizons and immense open skies and ragged distant mountain ranges. It is so, (just so) big and it truly is special. If you live in this country and you haven’t experienced the true outback I beg you to consider it. This is Australia, see it and love it! 🇦🇺 🌏 . . . . pix
