The fawns and I can't THANK YOU enough for our new Fawn House! Without your generosity and support I could not have done this. I've received many donations this week but unfortunately without your Instagram name I'm not sure who some of you are...I apologize for that. I appreciate every one of you for your kindness πŸ™β€οΈ Your looking at Jake, Lulu, Willy and Huey, they're having fun running in and out of the rain β˜”οΈ

Part 2 from yesterday's post.. I'm not going to say he loves me but Huey is definitely starting to like me 😁🍼 and he's taking a bottle without hesitation!!! Yay!!!

What's that song...I'm gonna make you love me!! Baby Huey from my video story doesn't like me one bit πŸ˜₯. He was attacked by a dog/ coyote, not sure. Neck/head bites and puncture wounds. Huey has me completely confused about his age? Still has light bluish eyes, tips of hooves are white, bottom of hooves soft, all signs of newborn-week old fawn but.... He's huge, longer nose, stubborn, strong, a fighter and wants nothing to do with me, signs of a much older fawnπŸ€” I will make him love me, my mission today 😬

Wild Willy always looking for more to drink🍼 My video story from last night is one fawn of 2 I picked up. I won't go into details because I'm disgusted about the situation. If a fawn is crying and pacing more than an hour, call for help!!! One of the twins died. So cold, I tried 4 different thermometers because his temp was to low to register, I thought they were broken. The other fawn is doing better this morning. HUGE THANK YOU for your donations, generosity, support and kindness!!! As I said before with your support we're giving them a second chance together!!!πŸ™β€οΈ

Late night call... Her mom was hit by a car and on impact she was expelled. Unfortunately her mom and twin didn't make it. It's been a long night, she was over an hour away so unfortunately with the driving time and coordinating with the Sheriff department it took time to get her home. She was weak, cold, banged up and very dirty, landing in a ditch. Today she's stable....πŸ™β€οΈ

I'm laying on the concrete like this because you thought I was abandoned and scared me out of the bushes where I was sleeping. I was waiting for my mom to come back. I'm a newborn baby trying to blend in and hide. I don't drink water or eat carrots and apples. I'm scared and I want my mom who is across the street in the field waiting for all of you humans to go away and leave me alone. She takes excellent care of me, if people would just give her a chance. Please leave us fawns alone πŸ™

Good Morning! So yesterday Kate and I pretty much covered Western NY and surrounding areas on fawn calls. It was a crazy day, my phone never stopped ringing. I'm grateful for Kate's friendship and I think we make an amazing team. Everything we do is for the well being of the fawn. My only advice for anyone calling About wildlife, please listen and trust the information you are receiving. Babies are always better with their mom. We know when a fawn needs human intervention. Have a great day everyone 😊

Remember how fun it was making mud pies when we were young?! Well I can still make them and actually have someone enjoy it πŸ˜‚ Volume up so you can hear Willy chomping 😁 Deer eat dirt for the minerals they need!

Most frequently asked question...Why do we have to rescue them?? Many reasons, number one reason human intervention. Unfortunately they are in the city of Buffalo and surrounding suburbs, heavily populated. We reunite most with mom but it depends on how long the person has the fawn and what they were feeding it. Many other situations, dog, coyote, fox attacks, something happened to their mom, car accidents, lawn mowers, stuck in creeks and other water bodies, pools, sickness, found in a dangerous area, the list is endless.. What I'm finding this season is many with respiratory issues, low/high temperatures, breathing problems, because we had an extremely rainy cold spring the fawns are laying in wet, cold mud! They are very weak, mom can't help her baby that has a temperature. Our number one goal is always to try and reunite baby with mom! We have taken in 9 but 7 have survived so far..

Jake seems to be very fond of Lulu!! Please be patient with me keeping up with Instagram. The fawn calls are coming in like crazy. I left this morning for one call and came home 8 hours later. Seven fawns total now. I try to answer all your questions but I know I've missed some, please bring it to my attention, I'm not ignoring you just haven't had time to keep up. Also huge thank you to everyone who has shared or featured my little fawn in the purple flowers. That photo is making it's rounds on and my feed is moving non stop, another reason I'm missing comments and questions! Thank you again for your donations!!! Every penny is appreciated and used wisely! You're all amazing and I'm so grateful to have you apart of my life and the fawns we rescue πŸ™β€οΈ

And then there were FIVE!!! I had to interrupt this video tapping, you'll see why!! Never lay in another fawns corner πŸ˜… I had to help my newest fawn. Willy is very territorial 😳

Jake is welcoming Little Billy, lol!! Took two days to get Billy. The caller only called to find out what kind of formula to feed him because she wanted to raise him like a pet "dog"!! He was a brand new baby. They had a bowl of water and thought he would eat grass. The neglect he received for 2 days had him dehydrated, extremely thin, weak, diarrhea and his ears our floppy and flat. She basically stole this fawn from his mom and because of his condition I had to take him. ATTENTION: WILDLIFE ARE NOT PETS!!! Enjoy watching but leave them ALONE! Call a professional if you think they need help! BTW- Willy at the end hangs around the bottle carrier😁
