Watching the sunset over the River wild in Montana

I had some fun with this particular moonset as I got to experience several of them as I climbed higher...who knew I was faster than the moon?

This might've been my wettest Colorado fall adventure but one of my was raining/snowing, and cold through the evening. Once the weather started to break though we were surrounded by some pretty amazing scenery!

A beautiful evening in (even though the clouds did all disappear...). It's always amazing to me how hiking a few minutes can lose all the crowds and transform you to a solitary wilderness!

One more of dream lake before summer plans take me higher and to some much less visited is a beautiful spot that I still have to visit a few times a year to feel complete 😉

This was the first morning in 29 years I won't have school to look forward to at the end of the summer. I've been in school all my life and was fortunate enough to be a school psychologist the last 8's been an amazing experience and I am incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity. However, sometimes pursuing your dreams requires sacrifice and fear and so yesterday I checked out of school not to return. This was from this morning and the beginning of many adventures to come....cheers!

This was taken this past fall on day that Mother Nature couldn't decide if it was fall or was a pretty amazing battle

I'm not great at putting the camera down but sometimes it's so beautiful even I remember it's important to stop and take it all in!

It may just be me but shooting landscapes is pretty much one giant emotional roller was snowing and gray driving here, then the sun came out, then it was socked in again, then there were no clouds, then this happened right before sunset...all the while around trying to find the best spot and that's constantly changing as the clouds move in and out of the area. It's exhausting but are there many better feelings than when it all comes together?

"When you start these kind of journeys you know what's important for you but you don't necessarily know where you're going. But you know that if you make these decisions based on things that matter to you, wherever you end up is where you're supposed to go" cheers to new adventures and paths that lead us where we are supposed to go.

As some of you may know my day job for the last 8 years has been of a school psychologist. It's been incredibly rewarding and a wonderful experience, I've been incredibly fortunate to get to work with so many amazing people (especially the students) and hope to have made a small difference in their lives. With that being said, it's time to turn the page and look forward to the next chapter. In two short weeks I will work my last day in the schools and pursue a lifelong dream of outdoor photography. It won't be easy but at some point we all have to follow our passion to the extent we can. We can't look back in 20 years and ask 'what if' in a couple weeks I hope to see you many of you outdoors following our passions and dreams...cheers

It's been a really crazy and hectic last few days but somehow watching a sunrise like this makes everything simpler
