While at Zion National Park, I hiked one of the scariest trails in America— Angel’s Landing. Imagine walking on the side of a 1,000 ft vertical cliff with chains as your only form of safety... Lol yeah, not fun. BUT, we made it to the top! And, rewarding isn’t even the word to describe the view. Well worth the trek. Still very unnerving though. Doubt I’ll ever do this hike again 🤷🏽‍♀️ — Five people have died attempting this hike.

At the time I found this patch, I got down on my hands and knees to find the next spots of blood on some dead leaves. He was taking the path to the right into thicker part. After those spots of blood I couldn't find any other signs. No fresh hoof prints, no broken branches, no hairs on the ground, just nothing. I decided to follow the path for about 30 yards looking for any sign possible. Coming up empty handed, I went back to last blood. After examing the possible paths, I noticed a small side path that led back to the same path he decided not to take originally. I then follow that path and about 5 yards in there is a small washout that he would have to hop across. I sit and examine every leaf, branch and the ground again and find no sign of him but I decide to walk it regardless. About 5 yards further the trail splits again. The path on the right goes into even thicker woods following this washout and leads down about 60 yards to a small creek (mostly dried up this year), the left leads to an old fenceline where he would have to jump. I examine the fence and find some white hair and small blood droplet on the top strand of barb. I couldn't see any other sign until I hoped the fence and saw a small pile of grayish white hair on the landing side. At this point his only option would be to plow straight through a patch of evergreens or head south along a path that cuts through the evergreens. Naturally, I thought to walk to path to the south only to come up empty handed for blood or sign. I decided to walk back to the fence, laying down on and looking through the evergreens in hopes of spotting a white belly or something. Again I came up empty handed. I'm going back with the bros and grid searching Saturday. Hoping to turn up more answers. I'm sick as can be, not w/ the cold or flu, but with a feeling of I could have done better & I now have my number one buck either walking around wounded or worse yet, dead & I won't be able to find him. Any advice or opinions are more then welcomed. deer hunting

Swipe left 👉🏼 Reflecting on how great it feels to have spent the day outside with my kiddos today! We've been inside filming commercials all week as a performance task for persuasive writing. We've been completing computer based assessments. We've had rainy day schedule, meaning tech time for lunch rather than being outside. All of this adds up to lots of screen time and it was so nice to unplug and be outside today! Back to the basics we went and the curiosity we shared could not have taken place anywhere else than in these moments. So much gratitude. . . . valley historics
