I spent all morning working different transitions into handstands. Refining the ways to get into them from front, back, and side to side. 2 1/2 hours straight and I am officially cooked! My two favorites are the first and the last transitions. Which ones do you like the most?

( ) ・・・ HIDDEN HIP DROP 👀🤨 . The hip drop , “trendelenburg sign”. But why does this happen? Basically, when there is weakness in the glute medius of one side of the body, the opposite side drops ⬇️ . But things get interesting when we look at the assessment and compensation patterns of the hip. When standing, people often stand with there hips in a slightly flexed position to give them more stability. Why? Because another muscle called your TFL (tensor fasciae latae) will kick in and take on the extra work needed to keep the hips level. . Both of these muscles work to ABDUCT the hip, basically bringing your hip out to the side. . The result? That dreaded Anterior pelvic tilt and some resulting low back pain. 😑 . So how do we assess this and treat this if it’s giving you an issue? That’s going to be a future post of course 🙃 . Tag someone with some low back or hip pain!

🏋🏽‍♀️BEGINNING🤰🏽THEN & NOW 🚶🏾‍♀️(have a read of my story👇) -- 62.4KG was my weight at the start of the year. Fast forward to the morning I left home for the hospital at 39weeks and 1day pregnant, I weighted in at 78KG. 3 days after Lucas was born, I weighted in again and sat at 73/74KG. Lucas weighted 3.47KG. I couldn't remember how quickly by body returned back to its original weight with my first born Anna so this time round, I became curious and started to track progress. I wanted to know how much my body could adapt itself without any of my usual structure of training alongside with good wholesome nutrition and some intermittent fasting thrown in. -- Yesterday I stepped on the scales, exactly 4 weeks in, and weighted in at 68.1KG. What I did? --- --- My goal is to get down to 62KG by the end of January 2018, that's 10wks 4 days as of today --- I remember when was training with to help her loose her baby weight after child number 3. It was so inspiring to watch how well the two of them worked together as coach and client. --- So I'm taking her dedication to reaching her goal as my motivation to stay focused and strong without compromising on quality to reach my goals. That means not taking any short cuts along the way. --- Have you got a goal you want to achieve? How attainable is it and what timeline have you given yourself to accomplish it? --- first coach
